Yeah. I'm totally bored. Finals aren't for a week (3 of them) and I'm all studied out. I've got a little more to do but NOT enough to fill this time. So, meaningless shiznit here we come!!!! Lots of nintendo, Family Guy, running, and vocabulary study in my future. I hope this all pays off someday....

U of Utopia

Hello,

I know you guys have missed me. I haven't posted for a month or something. That's because my life is going really well. It's adjustment central, really. I'm just getting used to the new lifestyle and getting all the variables worked out (in case you don't know the variables in my life are: Number 1 is money, Number 2 is Women. I sort of wish Number 2 was number 1 but alas, the benji's tend to be required to get the ladies...more on this topic later).

So I'm taking 18 creds of nice and tough classes. My stats 2 class is proving to be really time consuming. As anyone who knew me in Winter '05 can tell you, I never did get the noblest of educations in Stats, and now I'm having to catch up to the rest of the class. Wondeeful. Yeah.

LSAT Sept. 30...totally excited. Still not scoring where I want to be so I may delay the test date, but we'll see.

I've met some wonderful girls here at the U. They are sui generis. (That is a latin term I learned yesterday. If you are interested in the definition, look it up at http://www.dictionary.com.) I'm kinda almost too busy to hang out with a ton of women, butI still manage to get out on the weekends.

I don't eat enough and I don't sleep enough. Ah, the life of a college student.

So, now you get it. I hope that appeases you for another month or so. I'll see you in coolville.

How many words

How many words does it take to say four point oh my God! I actually got a

Freaking
Over-acheiver's
Undergraduate
Ranking

Oh
Happiness!

What this means, for the uninitiated, is that I am currently the top of my class at school and a candidate for the honors of Suma Cum Laude and Valedictorian. If that doesn't seem cool consider that these honors could get me into Harvard or Stanford Law. That's cool to the tune of about $150,000 per year after graduation. But only time will tell whether this little piggy goes to the bank. One thing is for sure, however; I'll be oinking all the way home!

Partay!!!

I just got back from a great 4th of July/Birthday party for this girl Mandy in the singles ward down here. I really got the hook up because this girl named Tracy at my work set me up with a killer singles ward down here. The people really kick trash. Oh yeah, and there may be a little somthing more coming out of tonight than just fun *dave bashedly looks aside*. I'm just lettin' my supporters know that I'm really doin' great in Bakersfield, and that I'm looking forward to coming home to the U in fall. Good luck everyone!

Chuggin

Here I am. Doing my job. Living my life. I'm pretty happy. Girls come and girls go. I watch movies I study. I'm thinking about writing an analogical essay on the paradoxes of true love and god.

Gosh!

It is so annoying sometimes to blog. I mean managing all these webspaces and keeping people updated. It can become a chore. But because I love you guys I'm gonna keep it up.

Alright. I landed in Bakersfield. It is a good place despite what people say to the contrary. I like the people out here and the minority mix makes me feel more like I'm in Hawaii.

I'll tell you one thing. Green is a whole different color out here. People have MONEY. And this is what some people consider the BUTT of California. Wow! Well, it's all good for me because the dough flows into my pockets - you ain't see me complainin'.

The people - They are really nice. The culture is more accepting out here and people know how to have a little bit more fun. I like that. In work meetings my superiors joke about being alcoholics and we get to laugh. It is great. Today Carlos, one of the IT guys, got into this HUGE argument with Alison, one of the partner's daughters about this whole "Mexican Liberation" thing. I guess its a big deal out here.

Today over 1 million legal and illegal immigrants refused to show up for work. In LA alone half a million mexicans showed up and blocked of two downtown main streets. It was crazy. So yeah, you can imagine this little mormon white girl (the partners daughter) arguing with *dave raises his eyebrow* Carlos. Anyway it's loads of fun and we're all still friends.

I on the other hand have more important things to think about. Like time management. Last week I worked 60 hours and I think that is going to be my average. It seems like a lot but until you work 12 hour days plus 5 hours a Saturday, you don't know what you're getting. It's a little crazy. But I'm getting into the work and the people are amazing so I can't complain.

I have this little thing to prepare for called the LSAT and it is freaking me out. Imagine the hardest test you have ever taken. O.k. Now throw it away. The LSAT is FREAKIN' hard people and I can't perform as well as I want to. I'm currently scoring 170 which puts me in the 98th percentile. But I want/need (depending on your p.o.v.) a 175 which would put me deep into the 99th percentile. Basically, it's the difference between being 1 in 50 and 1 in 500. I want the 1 in 500 so I'm working my tail off. That takes time.

And to topp it all off I have 15 semester hours at the U starting on May 4th. That is going to be wonderful. All of them are internet classes and they are all generals that didn't transfer so they should be easy but 15 credit hours is going to kill me. You know what...I can do it. And when I ge a 4.0 I'll come on here and give all of you a high 5.

Alright. I've used my alloted 15 mins of internet time. It's time to get studying for the beast of a test. I'll see you guys in a week or so.

Peace Love and Everything in Between,

Davey From the Block.
